PAGE TEN (Six Panels)
PANEL 1
Beautiful California sunshine comes streaming into the stylized kitchen of the Wing Residence. An ‘island’ holding all the pertinent kitchen appliances (as well as a telephone w/ answering machine) rests in the center of the room. The sink is overflowing with dirty dishes and empty food containers/pizza boxes sit on the stovetop.
CAPTION: THREE WEEKS LATER
SFX: BRRING!
PANEL 2
Closer on the telephone/answering machine combo.
ANSWERING MACHINE: (No Tail) HELLO, YOU HAVE REACHED COLLEEN WING OF THE REDWING GROUP. ALLISON AND I AREN’T…

PANEL 1
Establishing shot of the landmark LAX Theme Building, located in the middle of Los Angeles International Airport. The Encounter restaurant is located in the main “spaceship-like” portion of the building.
CAGE: (No Tail) THIRTY MINUTES LATE, KNIGHT.
PANEL 2
Inside the restaurant, LUKE CAGE sits at a window table over looking the airport. A sleeveless shirt displays his massive arms. Misty stands awkwardly behind the empty chair across from Cage. Wearing a large, button-down shirt and jeans, Misty’s clothes hang very loosely on her diminished frame. Her right sleeve appears empty as expected. Sitting on top of the table is a cardboard legal document box.
MISTY: YOU’RE IN LA NOW. THAT’S CONSIDERED EARLY.
PANEL 3
Close-up of the displeased Luke Cage.
CAGE: MY FLIGHT LEAVES IN FORTY MINUTES AND WE HAVE A LOT TO GO OVER.
PANEL 4
Close-up of the equally displeased Misty Knight.
MISTY1: WELL, CAGE, IT’S GOOD TO SEE YOU TOO. OH YEAH, YOUR GODDAUGHTER AND I ARE DOING FINE. NOT GREAT, BUT FINE.
MISTY2: AND WHATEVER IS IN THAT BOX WON’T MAKE IT BETTER.
PANEL 5
Pull back to reveal Misty sitting at the table with Cage as he motions towards his cardboard box.
CAGE: AND WHAT DO YOU THINK IS IN THE BOX? PAGE TWELVE (Seven Panels)
PANEL 1
Close on Misty. It is becoming obvious how weak and tired her condition has left her.
MISTY1: SOMETHING I DO NOT WANT.

CAGE1: NO, THIS CASE HAS THE INFO ON VICTIMS ONE AND TWO.
CAGE2: THREE THROUGH SEVEN ARE BEING SENT TO THE HOUSE.
PANEL 3
Full shot of the restaurant and all of beautiful & self-involved LA people surrounding Cage & Misty.
MISTY: WING WAS SEVEN?
CAGE1: NO, SHE WAS THE SIXTH VICTIM.
CAGE2: THERE WAS ANOTHER MURDER MONDAY.
PANEL 4
Full shot of the restaurant from the opposite side.
MISTY1: THIS WAS A SERIAL KILLER.
CAGE: NO, KILLERS.
MISTY2: I CAN’T DO THIS, CAGE.
PANEL 5
Close on Cage. He’s strictly business, but there is that air of sympathy. He really would rather not be putting all this on the weakened Misty Knight.
CAGE1: THERE ARE TWO OF THEM, KNIGHT.
CAGE2: ONE SEEMS TO HAVE THE SUPERHUMAN STRENGTH AND ENDURANCE.
PANEL 6
Repeat of Panel 5.
CAGE1: THEY’RE TARGETING FEMALES THAT AT ONE POINT OR ANOTHER COMMITTED A HEROIC ACT. OR IN SOME CASES, ACTS.

PANEL 2
Close on Misty.

Cage slides the small box across the table towards Misty. She is extremely hesitant.
MISTY: WHAT’S THIS? PAGE FOURTEEN (Four Panels)

Cage and Misty still at the table. She opens the box to reveal a hi-tech metallic ring the width of Misty’s bicep.
CAGE1: A GIFT FROM REED.
MISTY: RICHARDS?
CAGE2: HOW MANY GUYS YOU KNOW NAMED REED?
PANEL 2
Misty takes the ring out of its receptacle and holds it for a closer examination.
MISTY: WHAT’S IT SUPPOSED TO DO?
CAGE: (No Tail) CURE CANCER.
PANEL 3
Close on Cage realizing he may have over-stepped himself.
CAGE1: SORRY, BAD JOKE.
CAGE2: TURN IT ON AND FIND OUT.
PANEL 4
Pull back to show both of them as Misty “turns on” the device, resulting in a translucent blue feminine arm expanding from it. A look of total surprise registers on Misty’s face.

PANEL 1
A strong, lean feminine arm outstretched and holding a perfectly forged katana blade.

PANEL 2
Pull back to reveal Allison holding the Japanese blade. Standing in the workout area of the Wing residence, Allison is in the middle of her practice session, dressed in only the finest of fitness fashion.
NO DIALOGUE
PANEL 3
Three superimposed images of Allison show her performing a deadly, yet graceful killing blow with her sword.
MISTY: (No Tail) YOU GOT HER MOVES, LADY.
PANEL 4
Allison continues with her expert moves, as Misty is known shown looking on in the background. Misty is clad in the same clothing as her lunch with Cage. Her arm is still missing.
ALLISON1: SHE NEVER WANTED TO TRAIN ME.
ALLISON2: YOU MADE HER.
PANEL 5
Close on Misty, awkward.
MISTY1: TOO MANY ENEMIES WITH LONG MEMORIES.
MISTY2: YOUR MOM WANTED TO PROTECT YOU FROM VIOLENCE, BUT YOU NEEDED TO BE ABLE TO PROTECT YOURSELF.
PANEL 6
Same as Panel 4, but with a new position for Allison.
ALLISON: WORST PART IS THAT I’LL NEVER KNOW IF I COULD HAVE TAKEN HER. PAGE SIXTEEN (Six Panels)
PANEL 1
From the outside of the glass house, looking in on our two ladies in the workout area. Allison has not stopped her practice in the slightest.
MISTY: WE ALWAYS LIVE IN THE SHADOW OF OUR PARENTS.
ALLISON: FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT KNOW BOTH OF YOUR PARENTS.
PANEL 2
Close on Allison, not breaking from her movements in the slightest.
ALLISON: OF COURSE, YOU MIGHT KNOW WHO BOTH OF MY PARENTS ARE.
PANEL 3
Misty takes an uncertain step towards the practicing Allison.
MISTY: ALLISON, YOUR MOTHER NEV--
ALLISON1: (Overlapping Misty) SOME BOXES CAME FOR YOU TODAY.
ALLISON2: FROM DANNY.
PANEL 4
Over Misty’s shoulder, looking at Allison gracefully cut the air with her blade.
MISTY: DANNY RAND?
ALLISON: HOW MANY GROWN MEN NAMED DANNY DO YOU KNOW?
PANEL 5
Close on Allison finishing her sequence perfectly.
ALLISON: COLLEEN TOLD ME THAT IF I EVER BEAT HER IN COMBAT, SHE WOULD TELL ME WHO MY FATHER WAS.
PANEL 6
Again over Misty’s shoulder looking at a now stationary Allison. Behind Allison is a transparent, ghost image of Danny Rand, clad in his Iron Fist costume sans mask.
ALLISON: SO, I GUESS IF YOU DON’T KNOW, WE’LL HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE BRAVE SPERM PROVIDER TO STEP FORWARD.
PAGE SEVENTEEN (Six Panel Grid)
PANEL 1
Close up on the partial address information of the shipping boxes from Danny Rand. The return address reads “DANIEL RAND, 10 E. 40th STREET, NEW YORK, NY.” The ‘send to ‘ address is partially obscured and only Misty’s first name is visible.
CAPTION: I WASN’T LYING TO ALLISON.
PANEL 2
Misty, back at the “scene of the crime”, is sitting Indian style on the floor of the living room. She has opened up all the boxes and has spread the contents around her on the floor. The stacks of paperwork are arranger in circular rows. A yellow pad and pen rest in her lap.
CAPTION: COLLEEN NEVER TOLD ME WHO THE FATHER WAS.
PANEL 3
Close on the yellow legal pad that Misty is holding. At the top of the sheet is the word ‘VICTIMS’ in large bold letters, underlined twice. The numbers 1 through 7 go down the left side of the yellow page.
CAPTION: OF COURSE, IF DANNY WAS THE FATHER, IT WOULD EXPLAIN WHY COLLEEN NEVER TOLD ME.
PANEL 4
Pull back to show Misty sorting through one of the various stacks of documents.
CAPTION: THE THOUGHT OF MY BEST FRIEND SLEEPING WITH, WELL, THE ONLY MAN I EVER LOVED IS TOO MUCH.
PANEL 5

NO DIALOGUE
PANEL 2
Pull back to reveal that single newspaper clipping is part of a massive wall of clippings and pictures, documenting the acts of the deranged killer as well as displaying pictures of super-heroines that present as possible targets. (Because that’s just what serial killers do.)
NO DIALOGUE
PANEL 3
A hand clad in a tight golden glove (not the boxing kind) pins a photograph onto the already cluttered wall. The photo is of Misty & Cage at the Encounter restaurant from Pages 11-14, taken from outside the restaurant with a telephoto lens.
NO DIALOGUE
PANEL 4
Flip perspective to show the owner of the gloved hand pinning the photograph to the wall. Shown only from the chest to the knees is a physically fit male clad in Jean Grey’s old Phoenix costume. No bare skin indicating race can be seen, but his torso and package definitely indicates his gender.
NO DIALOGUE
PANEL 5
Now from behind the cross-dressing villain, again showing only his mid-section. By his body stance and hand placement, one could assume that he is in the process of gratifying himself.

MISTY: (Small Type) WHAT THE?
PANEL 4
Pull back to reveal both Allison and the waking Misty still in the living room. Allison has obviously been busy. The previously unorganized documents are now placed in seven neat columns that descend like cards in a solitaire game.
MISTY: WHAT ARE YOU DOING?
ALLISON: GETTING THIS ORGANIZED. THERE’S FRESH COFFEE IF YOU WANT IT.
PANEL 5
Misty has made her way up to a standing position. A look of sadness reaches her face.
MISTY: ALLISON, I WANT YOU TO STOP.

Look over Misty’s shoulder at the slightly bewildered Allison. She can’t understand why Misty would want her to stop.
ALLISON: STOP?
MISTY: YES, JUST PRETEND YOU NEVER SAW ANY OF THIS.
PANEL 7
Now over Allison’s shoulder as the tired & disheveled Misty tries to offer up the closest thing she has to compassion.
MISTY1: I DON’T WANT YOU INVOLVED IN THIS.
MISTY2: YOUR MOM WOULDN’T WANT IT EITHER. PAGE TWENTY-ONE (Five Panels)
